    The present study was undertaken with the objectives of examining the kind of input provided to local communities (Ecodevelopment committees) through ecodevelopment program. To examine the impact of ecodevelopment program and to critically examine the factors responsible for the success and failure of ecodevelopment initiative with respect to Periyar tiger reserve and suggest measures for effective implementation of the future program.
